Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 28 July 2026. This policy explains what information Falozi collects through this website, how it is used, and what rights are available to visitors under applicable US state privacy laws.

Effective 28 July 2026

1. Introduction and Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to visitors of falozi.xyz and describes how information submitted through this site is handled. It does not apply to any third-party site linked from here, including the National Recreation Trails database referenced in course content.

Falozi provides a recorded, informational workshop and does not offer live coaching or sell physical products. This policy is written to reflect that limited scope.

2. Information We Collect

When a visitor submits the contact form or the topic suggestion form, the name, email address, selected subject or category, and message content are collected. No payment information is collected anywhere on this site because nothing is sold here.

Basic technical data such as browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, and pages viewed may be collected automatically through standard web server logs. This technical data is not combined with form submissions to build individual profiles.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

This site uses a cookie consent tool that stores a preference cookie named fz_consent once a choice is made. Additional cookies for analytics, preferences, or marketing purposes are only set if a visitor opts into those categories through the consent modal.

Further detail on cookie categories and how to manage them appears in the separate Cookie Notice. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not affect access to any page on this site.

4. How We Use the Information We Collect

Form submissions are used only to respond to the inquiry or suggestion submitted, including questions about the recorded workshop and requests for trail information corrections. Technical log data is used to monitor site performance and address technical issues.

Information is not used to build advertising profiles beyond what a visitor has explicitly opted into through the cookie consent tool. Falozi does not use submitted information to generate targeted health or fitness recommendations.

5. Legal Basis and Purpose Limitation

Information submitted voluntarily through a form is processed on the basis of that voluntary submission and the stated purpose of responding to it. Technical log data is processed on the basis of a legitimate operational interest in keeping the site functional and secure.

Information collected for one stated purpose is not repurposed for an unrelated use without updating this policy first. Any material change to purpose will be reflected here with a new date.

6. Sharing of Information With Third Parties

Information is not sold to third parties. Limited technical service providers, such as a hosting provider or an email delivery service, may process information strictly to keep the site and its contact functions operating.

Any such provider is limited to processing information for the purpose of providing that service to Falozi, not for its own independent use. No information is shared with data brokers.

7. Data Retention

Form submissions are retained only as long as needed to address the inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping purposes. Consent cookie preferences are stored for up to 180 days before a visitor is asked to confirm preferences again.

Technical server logs are retained for a limited operational period and then routinely cleared. There is no indefinite retention policy for personal information collected through this site.

Effective 28 July 2026

8. Your Privacy Rights Under California Law

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information has been collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Falozi does not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA.

Requests to exercise these rights can be sent to [email protected] and will be reviewed in accordance with applicable law. A response may require reasonable verification of the requester's identity before information is released or deleted.

9. Rights for Residents of Other States

Residents of states with comparable consumer privacy laws, including Virginia's Consumer Data Protection Act and Colorado's Privacy Act, may have similar rights to access, correct, or delete personal information held by Falozi. Requests from residents of these states are handled through the same contact channel and process described above.

Where state laws differ in scope, Falozi applies the more protective standard available to the requester where reasonably practicable. This approach is reviewed periodically as state privacy laws continue to change.
